Semarang, September 3, 2026 – The Master’s Program in Animal Science at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University (FPP UNDIP), held an international learning session via a webinar in collaboration with Hy-Line International on Thursday (September 3, 2026). This event was part of an effort to broaden students’ academic insights while supporting Diponegoro University’s goal of becoming a World-Class University.
The webinar, titled “Critical Management Factors for Laying Performance,” was attended by students from the FPP UNDIP Master’s Program in Animal Science. The event was also attended by the Head of the Master’s Program in Animal Science at FPP UNDIP, Asep Setiaji, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D.
The webinar material was presented by Dr. Daniel Valbuena, Global Technical Services Director at Hy-Line International. In his presentation, Daniel Valbuena discussed various key management factors influencing laying hen performance, including the implementation of husbandry standards to support productivity and production efficiency.
Through this event, students had the opportunity to learn about advancements in poultry science and industry practices directly from an international expert. The discussion not only strengthened students’ understanding of laying hen management but also provided insight into the global standards applied in the modern poultry industry.
Asep Setiaji’s attendance demonstrated the FPP UNDIP Master’s Program in Animal Science’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and expanding international academic networks. The event also underscored the program’s dedication to integrating global perspectives into the educational process.
The webinar was held online, with students participating from the lecture halls of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP) at UNDIP, Semarang. During the session, students listened to the presentation and had the opportunity to gain deeper insight into various issues regarding laying hen production management.
The collaboration with Hy-Line International aims to broaden students’ knowledge of technological advancements, production management, and the challenges facing the global poultry industry.
